Posts on here have been conspicuous by their absence - it seems once I got over jet lag, we were doing so much that there just hasn't been time to write down what we've been doing. Travelling with young kids across 7 time zones hasn't helped - one or other, and sometimes both, have been tired and/or hungry at most times of the day, so finding time when they don't need feeding or entertaining has been a challenge. Lara adapted to the time change after a week, and Danny is getting there now, just in time for us to go home tomorrow!
We've had a great time; we're sad to leave, and looking forward to coming back. I've felt OK in the cold climate, and once we bought some new socks and boots for Lara, she doesn't seem to have been bothered by the cold. Danny has been wrapped up so well by Olga that he was actually at his most complainy during those moments after we'd dressed him for outside but before we actually got him outside. Once he's been outside, either in the pram, or more often in the backpack carrier, he's been happy to sleep or just look around without any whinging.
I will try to give info about what we did each day, but I'll try to submit one photo from each day here, just to give an idea of what we've been up to since my first post:
Dec 26th - lounging in the pool in Calgary
Dec 27th - Loading up the car for the drive to Canmore
Dec 28th - Skating on the pond in Canmore
Dec 29th - Lake Louise
Dec 30th - sledging in Canmore
Dec 31st - Skating in Kananaskis
Jan 1st - A family portrait
Jan 2nd - after checking out of the Delta Lodge
